Living on your own

I know that a lot of people with schizophrenia end up living with their parents because they can’t hold down a job or don’t earn enough to support themselves. I live with my mom too. When I think about what will happen after she passes away, I get really anxious about living on my own and relying on whatever savings my parents leave me. I also feel like my cognitive abilities are declining, so I’m not even sure I could live independently in the first place. I live in Japan, so I don’t know what it’s like in your country, but do you ever think about what will happen after your parents are gone? Does it make you anxious too?
