Skinny, non-powered character benching nearly the weight of a small car

For years I've seen physics nerds and medical professionals complain about how much a lot of the things they read require them to suspend their disbelief, and I feel like as a gym rat I've just experienced the equivalent. It's otherwise a very well-written fic but I'm torn between laughing and crying every time the thin, physically un-enhanced human character makes a reference to their lifts/fitness regimen.
