As the caption says, I believe where we are in the manga right now would be a great time to announce an anime adaptation. With 111 chapters in, we seem to be heading to a point of downtime for our characters that will allow them to regroup and reassess the threats they face. Chihiro and his allies will have to train and seek new strategies, Soga is rebuilding the Kamunabi and Hishaku under his private watch, and more from the War will be revealed soon.

On top of that arcs are already finished, including the Introduction, Sojo Arc, Rakuzaichi Arc, Sword Bearer Assassination Arc, Kyoto Conflict Arc, and Kamunabi HQ Assault Arc (which appears to be winding down and wrapping up very soon). Not only does this give the anime studio plenty of material to work on without the risk of being too close to the manga release schedule, it provides ample time for Hokazono to create his work without too much added pressure.

That’s all I really wanted to cover. I’m not exactly sure how adaptations are approached or approved before they are announced, so if anyone has info on that I’d like to learn more. Though, I guess a bonus question I’ve got is that if an announcement were made, what would a realistic episode count look like considering the amount of chapters presently available? And which of the seasons do you think would be a good time to premiere? (my vote is Fall leading into early Winter, just cause of vibes alone)

I think now would be the perfect time for an anime announcement
