Doing a head gasket/valve job. Any recommendations for tools/parts?

I already ordered the head gasket, valve, valve stem seals, intake and exhaust gasket, valve cover gasket, oil and coolant, injector o rings and head studs.

I think I need a kit to retime the motor?

I think I also need grinding paste and suction cup to lap the new valve?

Also I heard that new friction washers are needed for the timing sprockets? I don’t plan on replacing the timing components (I’m sure I’ll get crucified for this but it’s a $400 car and it seems to be in decent condition.)
