Rear suspension question

I installed burly slammer plus shocks on my bike. I like the stance, but just curious on why it’s said not to use lowering brackets with them? I’m assuming the degree of angle would not let the shocks work as intended, or put too much stress on the pistons.

Has anyone ever used lowering brackets with 10” lowering shocks?
