I made a loaf for my sweet loaf!

Toast me - say something nice please

My partner of 13 years and I have an inside joke about bread being our form of love expression. I made him a big loaf, because I loaf him very much!

500g bread flour

250g honey water (the last of some honey in a bottle shaken up with some water)

150g starter

25g oil

10g salt

20 minutes lid on at 420, 35 minutes lid off at 420.

First big mistake though, I used cornstarch instead of rice flour, because I forgot to pick some up. That got all caked up on the top, and sorry of cracked off. The honey water brought out some of that sour flavor in an interesting way though! I wish the crumb was a bit less dense. That's likely from the oil. It did turn out extremely soft and moist!
