EBC via Cho La Pass (Clockwise Route)- Solo 21M (March 2026)
Hey everyone,
I (21M from Singapore) am heading EBC this March for a solo hiking trip (no guide or porter). I’d love some feedback on my itinerary. I have a few questions, and I'd love to get any teahouse recommendations along the route too. I would really appreciate your thoughts.
- For the Cho La Pass, what do I need to prepare in terms of water and food?
- For this time of year, is a sleeping bag needed?
- If I am doing this trek solo, how will the booking of teahouses work? Can the teahouse owner from the previous lodge help me book ahead?
- For food/teahouse prices, is it true that you can stay at a discounted/free rate if you eat in the teahouse?
- Where's the best place to get the wifi cards?
- Any specific lodges recommendations in Gokyo, Thagnak, and Dzongla?
