Recommendations- Rome

Dining

Hello! My family will be traveling to Rome in April. This is our first time traveling internationally as a family. We will be traveling with kids (5 year old and 6 year old). Food is also VERY important to us. We live in Miami where there’s a lot of influencer type hype restaurants- we aren't into that. We love Mom & Pop, local/ intimate places.

Here are some details about our trip

Staying: in Trastevere, near the Botanical Garden of Rome

Looking for Recommendations for:

Breakfast/lunch/dinner close to the Botanical Garden/ Trastevere since we are staying there. With music/entertainment for dinner would be great.

Is it okay to go to the Piazza di Santa Maria on during the evenings with kids?

Quick breakfast spot by the Vatican (opening at or before 7 am)?
Lunch place near the Vatican?

Where can we watch As Roma match near/ at Trastevere on Sunday?

Where to get gelato near the Coliseum?

Breakfast near Pantheon? Is it worth getting a guide at the Pantheon?

We really appreciate everybody's input!
