Does anyone else friggin remember this besides me..

So, this is driving me insane because it seems like nobody remembers this but me, and maybe it was a regional thing (Merrimack Valley) or something.. but

Does anyone remember from like the early 90s to early 2000s when you would go to Polynesian Restaurants they would give you these little delicious round buns as an appetizer that you could dip in duck sauce and put butter in or hot mustard?! And they were so good and then all of a sudden they were gone.

I can not be the only person that knows these buns/rolls. They are a circle with a smaller circle in the center, slightly puffy, soft, warm and amazing.

I would always get these at Grand China in Salem NH (when it was good a million years ago) and Kam Sing in methuen square (its gone now), but i also feel like it was just standard.

Anyone?
