Andrey Vavilov bought a two-story penthouse at Trump Tower in NYC in 1995. Epstein booked at least one meeting with him in 2011:

Note that the Richard Barnett cc'd in that email is probably different Richard Barnett than the Jan 6 capitol rioter. But I'm not sure.)

Vavilov was offering to buy Epstein's house for a $100 million check. Epstein however claims to have "turned down three bids in the TWO hundreds"

James Meiskin who made the Vavilov contact tried later to get Epstein into biotech investments with Russian venture capital. Middleman would've been David Carter. Since russian private sector is ultimately in state control, his would've brought russian national interests in direct contact with latest research. Unless the companies to be invested were shit, which wouldn't have surprised anyone either. By 2014 it seems like Epstein started avoiding these guys, at least on email. It's almost slapstick bad.

They even tried to bring in Dr. Steven Rosenfeld, who may or may not be the same person whose antics in 1970s were one of the first incidents to bring scientific misconduct to mainstream attention
