Just venting.
Thursday evening, I was the first to a class that doesn’t generally have alot of people in it. I set up in my usual spot along the back wall. Two women come into the EMPTY room and basically set up an inch from each other and an inch from me!! A literal INCH of space. Because people on Reddit have beat me up about being frustrated with lack of etiquette of newbies, I took a breath and was like “hey, she usually does a lot of arm work, so you may want to spread out a bit.” Now they weren’t new, I could tell. But they were never in that class before. Anyway, both seemed receptive, but neither moved at all. At that point, I ended up moving over and up quite a bit.
I just don’t understand with an entire room available, why they chose to sit right on top of me? And I also don’t understand why I would have to be the one to move from the space I like to practice in, to accommodate them? I get it, “move your mat and move on”…which is what all of you are going to say. But I am very much allowed to be irritated by this and wonder why I have to tolerate being completely disrupted.
