Why do people warn men about marriage these days?

I hear this sentiment a lot lately. People telling men to not get married, it's a scam, it's a contract which rewards your partner for breaking it (especially if she stays at home), you'll never see your kids etc.

Any truth to any of these claims? I've heard so much anti-marriage stuff it's ridiculous and it's aimed at men mostly for some reason.
