Spironolactone for acne

So a few months ago my dermatologist prescribed spironolactone for acne (which was helpful and came with minimal side effects for me).

But when she increased the dose for my skin I noticed a HUGE difference in my PMDD. I searched to see if anyone had posted about this and they hadn’t so I just wanted to share my experience.

I’ve been taking 75 mg of it when my luteal phase starts and I feel like a “normal” person for two weeks. It has made my acne worse during this time but it feels like a fair trade for me.

Now I’m struggling to find the cause of my feelings of depression after my period but the spironolactone has literally been life changing. My assumption is because it blocks progesterone but I’m looking for testing to be sure.
