what visual content is ok to pleasure to?
first, i apologize if this title and the post contents comes off as a bit crude. i’m (22m) having a difficult time answering this… cus like, for me when it comes to irl people, i always do my research to make sure everyone is consenting and wants to be in the video. hence why i, if i go with mainstream performers, tend to stick with people i have heard or verified have said that they enjoy there work (people like, say, angela white and i think lena paul) and stayed away from people who didn’t like (like lana rhodes and mia khalifa), as well, when it comes to OC creators or subreddits, only using ones that require consent in there rules and/ir verification (as i hear that can also be used to verify consent. but at the same time i worry that they might not be as ok as they say they are, as well as what it means for when i didn’t know about the performers consent status, as well as the objectification angle (though one could argue that they are sexualizing themselves to cater to a sexualized veil of themselves (at least while they are on camera performing), but still, idk…).
i also worry about non irl visual media, like sexualized renders of characters and hentai and such. ofc the worry of irl people getting hurt not being there is better, and i make sure to avoid obviously any kids/any characters under 18 (though honestly i prefer 20+ cus it feels safer) and only using fanart rather then in game or in show or in comic examples/images/videos as the character (depending on the context) likely isn’t trying to present that way, so i don’t think i should. nonetheless, i worry that me looking at non irl characters and such might be doing something wrong by sexual or make me develop a bad idea of women’s bodies? admittedly i already know that women’s bodies come in many shapes and sizes, but still…
so i guess what im wondering is, how do i square this? i want to use images a bit less, but i mostly wanna know if its ok at all. so yea. what do you think? or am i just overthinking it and shoud l just go with the flow or something? advice would be appreciated :))
