Someone needs to tell Kon Knueppel that is not how to pronounce his name

I get that people are allowed to determine their own pronunciation, but Kon's family is actively making it hard on themselves by pronouncing it as the hilarious in English "Kuh Nipple". Knueppel is directly a word in German, an anglicisation of Knüppel, meaning stick or club. This is pronounced in German as Kuh Noo Pell.

I understand changing the pronunciation to make it easier for people saying your name in a different language, but that's not the case either. If you are reading his name phonetically in English, you would probably guess pretty close to the German pronunciation as Noo Pell or Noy Pell. Never would you guess that it is Nipple, why would a "ue" make a weak "i" sound? Why give kids on the playground unnecessary ammo?
