31, been to Japan last year. How would I go about finding a career with my current credentials?

I was looking for expertise and advice from people who were previously in my position.

For starters, i'm currently 31 years old and I have a Bachelors of Science that I earned in

2017. The degree itself isn't in a useful field truth be told, as it's in Liberal/General Studies, and through numerous jobs and experiences, I realized that I don't have much faith in where I'm currently located in acquiring a good/decent job here. I'm currently learning Japanese and I have an entry level IT certification that I plan on expanding upon within the next year so boost my credentials. I want to know for those with a degree, was it challenging for you to find a job in Japan? Also, how did you go about your journey to get where you currently are?
