Extra summons bug

There was this one time when I unequipped my pygmy necklace and my summons did not drop in number. When i equipped it again, I was able to summon an extra minion. I was able to recreate it once, now having 8 summons instead of 6.

Has anyone else experienced this? I tried recreating it since then and it has not happened ever again. Im playing on the latest mobile version.
