God I hate this freaking car

I was just pumping gas (with the car on, bad I know) and by the time I got back in the battery and oil light came on. I tried to go forward but the pedal wouldn’t go down. (The car shut off, I think?) I just got an oil change like 3 weeks ago and a new battery within the year. It started back up when I shut it off and turned it back on but now I’m scared it’ll do it again and not move with my kids in it. Drove about 20 minutes home and the lights were off when I turned the car back on. What would cause this?
