Please help identify this bump in my labia minora!
I’m 27F. On Jan. 24th I developed a yeast infection. I treated it with 3 (the first dose was a month expired leftovers while I waited for my drs appt) fluconazole doses the proper amount of time apart and it went away for a week. My partner and I had sex around a week after my last dose, and the yeast infection came back on Monday/Tuesday of this week. I went to my OB and this time she prescribed terconazole for 7 days which I started right away on Tuesday night.
Symptoms didn’t start to really clear until today/day4 (still some discharge, but no lingering itchy or as inflamed as the days before. Yesterday when wiping, I did notice a bump inside my labia minora that I hadn’t felt all week until yesterday evening. When I took a look, it was small, almost a perfect circle, smooth, and pink. Didn’t hurt to touch, felt pretty squishy-ish. From then to now, the bump has turned a deep purple and stings a bit when touched or when I’m wiping (the sting when wiping started just as a “snag” feeling). I have been googling nonstop and can’t really find anything that matches up.
I’m not opposed to seeing my OB. I do have another appt in two weeks just to ensure everything is fine and the YI clears this time, but I wanted to ask here in the meantime because I’m not sure my health anxiety will let me wait that long.
I should mention, I did scratch the area a bit the first couple days of recurrence. Nothing too extreme, just using tissues to relieve some of the itching. I did notice some rawness from doing that, but it seems to have cleared up where this hasn’t. On Jan. 23, my pcp ran a full panel on me and everything was clean. I was diagnosed with HPV as of 6 months ago and I have been with the same partner for over 2 yrs. I’ve looked at pics of HPV warts and HSV and I’m not sure that this adds up with either but I’m no expert. I will link pics if possible!
If anyone can help identify I would greatly appreciate it:
