Should I drift my subaru?

Driftscussion

I really wanna get to a drifting event this next season and im trying to figure out what would make the most sense. I have a 2006 subaru forester xt sti swapped built motor ready for the track making 350whp and i could easily weld the center and rear diff. I would probably also have to swap to a fmic and FDF makes an angle kit that would work. I can also fab custom rear caliper mounts for hydro but is all of this worth it when i could just buy a drift ready car on marketplace for 4k or so? i would keep tracking the forester and i honestly dont want to completely gut it anyway cuz honestly i sleep in the back on trips sometimes but I also would love to be the only guy with a subaru out on the track it would be hilarious. i can keep the motor in one piece the whole oiling system is upgraded and i tune it myself (i would make a conservative tune 300hp is probably plenty for my first event) so the ej shouldnt be too limiting. Some listings i were looking at were clapped 240s and e36s with cages already. (i could do to the foz but would take awhile) so what do you guys think, build the foz and do something original or save this car from getting beat on while getting something more cost effective on marketplace?
