Taking a LOA for severe burn out
just looking for a safe place, especially since you all have been so kind and supportive.
I am taking a leave of absence and I think the toxic unit I work on is 100 percent contributing to why I need to take the leave in the first place.
Some of the people on my unit have been talking behind my back and saying I'm too negative (this job is not butterflies and rainbows). people have commented that I look disheveled. instead of pulling my aside and asking if I'm ok, these so called coworkers felt it necessary to complain about me to their director who reported to my manager.
these are people I have grown close with and have shared my life with and my struggles because I felt I could confide in them.
having coworkers talk badly about me in this way especially considering I have a history of bad mental health is so hurtful.
I am asking to transfer to a different department in my hospital when I return.
if my coworkers reach out to me, do I respond to them?
i think I'm so hurt I don't know who to trust
and also, should i tell them I am not returning or just do the good old Irish goodbye.
also would love to hear from anyone else who took a leave and what helped you
thank you all ❤️
