Should I get a carbon bike or a alloy with carbon fork?

Im worried that if I get carbon fiber bike it can crack or break in half since they are quite fragile? Even though people said carbon is more stronger than alloy. But alloy on the other hand it can't really be easily crack but it can bend instead but is way more heavier and I'm not a strong person so
