Advanced ultrasound

Hello!

I have finally gotten in to see a pelvic pain specialist and they ordered an “advanced ultrasound”. I can’t find anything helpful regarding how different this will be from the normal internal ultrasounds. I have been diagnosed since at least 2016.

I have always been told they can’t see endo on ultrasound but she said this one can detect it?

I have had really awful experiences with gynos and being diagnosed with endo and I hate not knowing what to expect. So any information regarding your experience/how it’s different would be helpful!

Additional info:

I’ve had three laps. First one was ablation, second two were excision. Stage 2/3. Also have IC.
