Do you ever unlock any better machine guns?

been using dual ludlows for a while. I don't think I. that far in the game, about to do the first mission I've seen with zero base pay (after the floating city mission). I see those burst machine guns in the shop but idk if they'll be better than ludlows. Im using a lightweight build.
