Lack of common sense in drivers nowadays

Is it just me or is common sense really hard to find on the roads in recent months? I was just tailgated by a bus on lane 2 of a 3-lane road during pre-dawn hours (around 6am), and he high-beam hold until I cannot see the cars on left/right lanes in my side AND rear view mirrors to filter out of his way. What's up with that attitude?
