[kcd2] need help with combat

Hey, so I recently bought kcd2 and i love the game except i just cant love it enough to continue playing it because the combat is really difficult. Maybe im doing something wrong but i just cant do it. Im playing on playstation 5.

I cant even get past the combat tutorial where i have to do a combination of right left right & up right left.

Its like this:

attacking right ✅

Attacking left ✅

Attacking right and somehow it keeps attacking left. I always get stuck on the last attack.

Anyone who can help me? Ive been trying for 2 days now and i just cant get it to do the combo. Left goes good right goes good and when i have to go left again even though im moving my joystick to the left it keeps attacking right. Its so frustrating
