Bodycon dresses for short-waisted petites?

Title says it all. I've recently loss a lot of weight and would like to show off my new figure. That said, I remain very, very short-waisted and it seems like most bodycon dresses (whether mini, midi or maxi) seems to over-accentuate the torso. In other words, you need a long torso to pull them off. Is that right? Is there no such thing as short-waisted bodycon clothes? Are there petite bodycon dresses that would have a naturally shorter torso? Looking for any/all ideas. If helpful, I'm 5'4" (so just on the edge of petite, but all legs and no middle) and 57, so I'm not looking for anything cheap or skanky - just gracefully bodycon. Any ideas?
