Which 2 movies to show a musician with 0 exposure to Star Wars?

My friend is playing Star Wars in his orchestra (the original John Williams soundtrack, mind you). I was telling him how lucky he was (I'd give anything to play it) and he said he'd never watched any of the movies or shows... So of course I gotta educate him so that he understands the emotions behind the music.

We have enough time for 2 movies. I don't expect him to enjoy them, he's never been into this genre.

Obviously A New Hope; for the second one, Empire Strikes Back is an obvious choice because of all the iconic music, but I've never been a big fan of ESB (plus it has a cliffhanger ending), and I wouldn't mind showing one of the prequels.

What do you guys think?
