Odd choices from parents

Vent- no advice needed

Am I the only one that finds this odd and inconvenient to us as childcare providers?

I provide care for multiple families, and several of them bathe their kid in the primary bathroom or even let their kid shower with them even when they have a dedicated bathroom.

One of my kids is now at the age where brushing teeth needs to be a morning routine and on multiple occasions I have had to ask where her toothbrush is, because they aren’t brushing her teeth in her own bathroom….That’s literally attached to her bedroom. Same situation with another family I can never find toothbrush, hairbrush, hair ties or anything for nanny kid because they’re in the parents bathroom.

I get that they’re doing it probably because it’s easier for them. However, as a professional childcare provider, I don’t want to go through a parents bathroom to find things to properly get a child ready for the day. I don’t have children, but when the time comes, I don’t intend to share a shower or a bathroom with my child, especially if they have one that can be dedicated to them.
