Looking for reassurance - bleeding at 6w2d

I shared the pictures from my first ultrasound which I had at 6w on Wednesday. Everything was fine, they were happy with the placement, embryo was measuring at 6 weeks, and we saw a little heartbeat.

On Friday, out of nowhere I got a rush of thin bright red blood. I’m not sure exactly how much it was as by the time I got a pad on it had slowed significantly. I went to the early pregnancy unit as my clinic told me to do, and after a long wait they did a physical exam but no ultrasound. They said my cervix still looked closed but I would have to wait until Monday for an ultrasound.

The wait has been horrific and I’m convincing myself more and more that it is over.

The bleeding stopped fairly quickly on Friday and I’ve only had brown discharge since.

Is there any reassurance you can give that this isn’t the end?
