how do i make money in NL during the winter?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to make bells in this game. I've been going around to the island, Kapp'n' Island, but I did the huge mistake of cutting down all my trees and for the past few times I've gone, I have not seen any of my trees back. Is there any way to get these trees back? I don't know how else I'm going to catch all these rare bugs especially because my island is currently in the winter time. I really could use the help since I need to do a lot of things and really get my town a kickstart into getting a good approval rating. (＃ﾟДﾟ)
