A quick guide on how to actually get Suno to follow your song structure (and stop vocal bleeding)

Pinned

Hey everyone,

Like a lot of you, I’ve been burning through my daily credits because Suno keeps ignoring my song structures, rushing through verses, or mashing male and female vocals together into a weird robot hybrid.

After doing a ton of testing with the newer models, here are a few structural rules I’ve found that dramatically increase the consistency of your generations:

1. Syntax Matters More Than You Think. Suno reads your prompt like code. If you just write a paragraph of text, it will rush it. You need to isolate your sections using brackets and line breaks. Always format like this: [Verse 1] Line one here Line two here (Empty line break) [Chorus]

2. Fixing Vocal Bleeding (The Duet Problem) If you want a male rapper and a female singer on the hook, you have to engineer the prompt tags aggressively. Don't just put "Duet" in the style box. Put the specific vocal direction inside the lyric box right under the section header: [Chorus] [Female Ethereal Vocals] Lyrics go here...

3. Stop Guessing Genre Tags "Epic Cyberpunk" is too broad. You need to stack "Style DNA" chips (e.g., Cyberpunk, Analogue Synth, Dreamy, Distorted, Ambient). The more specific the meta-tags, the less Suno hallucinates.

Why I’m sharing this (and a tool I built): I got so tired of formatting this manually and keeping a messy spreadsheet of tags that actually worked, so I spent the last few months building a dedicated workspace for it.

It’s called Suno Architect.

It has a "Studio Mode" that automatically formats your lyrics with perfect syntax, and a "Song Blueprint" tool where you just click the vibe/instruments you want, and it engineers the exact prompt structure to paste into Suno.

I just pushed the V5 update to help with vocal separation.

If anyone wants to test it out, there is a completely free tier. You can check it out here:sunoarchitect.com

Would love to hear feedback from the power users here on what features or tags I should add next. Cheers! 🎵
