Who Can Turn Down A Calling Due To Work?

Institutional

Hello everyone! I am curious if you or anyone you know have turned down a calling due to your profession. Examples are politicians, professional athletes, and college athletes (e.g., one year missions, etc).

What about “normal” people? From a a faithful perspective, have you or someone you know ever felt the need to decline or talk through a calling because of work demands like a promotion, busy season, or critical role? I think it’s completely reasonable.

Is there a high enough level profession where it is not expected to have a regular calling? CEO? College President? Senator?
