boric acid success for chronic yeast infections ?
so for the last year of 2025 i started getting frequent yeast infections. i’d go to urgent care multiple times a month for symptoms. ive gotten tested every time and its ALWAYS a yeast infection and never anything else. another thing to note is my yeast infections aren’t just on my vagina, at this very moment i have a skin yeast infection on my chest and arms as well. i’m taking topical clotrimazole and trying desperately not to transmit any yeast to different parts of my body.
i’ve been given countless fluconazole pills the last few weeks. my issue is, it keeps coming back. sometimes the fluconazole (normally my only treatment) doesn’t work at all, because when i finally saw a gyno two days ago she looked inside me and without a swab said confidently “you have a yeast infection right now”… and i had taken fluconazole 2 days before that. she was right. i had not been having sex to try and avoid reinfection too. i feel insane because i cant get rid of these infections to the point i cant tell how many are resisting treatment and how many are just reoccurring, as in coming back right after i cure it. i also deal with vaginal dryness, and bleeding from intercourse and penetration. my dr is testing my estrogen but says it’s more likely that my chronic infections are causing the dryness and bleeding than genuine hormonal atrophy, but now the issue is how do i keep a yeast infection away instead of it just coming back every time i cure it. that’s why i was given 600mg of boric acid and told to take it nightly for 30 days. ive never done boric acid before and last night was my first night
can anyone with experiences taking boric acid tell me their experience positive or negative? preferably someone who had to use it 30 days? i’m lost at this point and just praying this will help me because it’d change my life, because most of symptoms all started in 2023. and is it really possible to have a fucked up vagina microbiome for that many years without ever having any STDs?
