Curious newbie

I’ve been curious about the BDSM scene, specifically D/s, for awhile now.

The relationships I’ve had in the past is strictly vanilla so I don’t have any prior experience with kinks and stuff.

I feel like I’m leaning to submission but I just feel like since IRL I’m someone who takes charge in work and the relationship around me, it would clash to wanting to submit to someone? But whenever I read stories with the D/s dynamics i get so turned on whenever i imagine myself being in the position of the sub, of someone telling me what to do or praising me and stuff.

I’m just curious to know how to definitively know if I’m a sub or not? I feel like I have to experience it first?
