Pathway Program - UTLA Moody's College

Question / Advice - Was accepted to the Pathway Program where i'll be in LA for the first semester then UT. Does anyone have experience with this? Can you ask to go to NY or one of the other schools in Austin? What's the chance of getting into Austin in the fall? Would love any advice from anyone who's done this program already.
