Would you mention this in a guest review?
I’m debating what (if anything) to include in a review. The guest was overall pretty needy, but nothing wildly out of the ordinary. Also how many stars would you leave?
Main issues:
-
She requested early check-in and I gave a complimentary 1-hour early check-in, but she showed up 2 hours early and entered the house before I gave the go-ahead / before the agreed-upon time while my housekeeping was still finishing up.
-
Even with clear washer/dryer instructions, she misused the machine (put powder in the agitator), which caused repairs. The washer is only ~4 months old. I’m not charging her, but it’s still frustrating.
-
She asked about late check out, I let her know I was unable to accommodate because I had a same day turnaround and housekeeping needed the entire time to be able to complete the laundry, she still checked out 20 minutes late. Could be worse but my housekeepers were waiting there for them to check out so they could get started.
Would you include either/both of these in the review for other hosts, or treat it as “mistakes happen” and keep the review generic/positive?
