strange lagging from apps

recently (maybe 2 days ago) my instagram started lagging, and not in just any way. When I scroll for reels and like it, it suddenly freezes for unknown reasons. I wouldn't say it's some kind of performance issues on my phone since it's only like this on instagram. Now, so is my youtube, when I like a shorts, a few seconds later the video becomes mute for a quick second.

I do have an iphone 13 but my battery health is pretty good. I definitely started seeing some setbacks after updating to ios 18, especially on my camera, it takes too long for the camera to actually load for some reason. At this point, I want to go back to ios 17.
