Can you disassemble a passive crossover to use for speaker upgrade

My Ford Ranger has separate amplifier channels going to the front door speakers (6x9) and the tweeter in the A-pillar. I want to upgrade the components but want to leverage the crossovers that come with the kit. I know that fundamentally I could add a capacitor to the tweeter and a coil to the 6x9 but wondering if it is possible to take the crossover apart and reassemble the components associated with the tweeter and the components associated with the 6x9 for their respective channels.
