Were g4 factory reject brushables sold on ebay genuine?

Around 2013-2016 ish I remember a lot of sellers on ebay (mainly based in Hong kong) that would sell quote-on-quote 'factory rejects' single ponies, sometimes labelled as rejects, and sometimes not, for about £17-£30.

I have a pretty big g4 collection that I started as a child, I have a lot of the toysrus exclusives, and I did fill some gaps in my collection by buying a few ponies on ebay at the time. And as an adult, I'm now wondering if the ebay ponies could be fakes? They have all look and feel exactly the same as the ones I bought from the store, and have the hasbro markings etc. Though some of them seem to have slight flaws or mistakes, for example, I've noticed dewdrop dazzle doesn't stand 100% flat, or on plumsweet one of her eyes are slightly lower on one side. And I'm wondering if they really were factory rejects or just straight up fakes?
