The Soup Dragons - Hang Ten! (Raw TV)

My NME Indie Number Ones blog looks at The Soup Dragons first significant release, the two-minute cyclone rush of "Hang Ten" - a track that was clearly influenced by The Buzzcocks and The Undertones, but also predates the bizarre headrush of a lot of underground US acts.

Also lower down the charts:

* The Very Things - This Is Motortown
* The Wolfhounds - Anti-Midas Touch
* Red Lorry Yellow Lorry - Cut Me Down
* Erasure - Sometimes
* McCarthy - Red Sleeping Beauty
