Transmission/ Idle issues

2002 BMW 325i Automatic

This week a couple new issues have come to light and not sure if connected but thought I would ask here. On Tuesday my reverse went out, after driving for a little while I parked it and tried reverse and it started working. The next day, it did the same thing again, worked in the morning, stopped after driving to work, then started working again. Hasn’t had an issue since.

The idle has been erratic and it dies when coming to a stop. I’ve cleaned the idle, replaced the DAS, no misfire. Vaccuum issue?

I need to rescan codes and see what’s present.

Has anyone has similar issues? What worked? What didn’t?
