TLDR; Gundams are awesome, the community is amazing and I have the feeling that I won’t stop building any time soon even when saying “Just one more and that’s it”.

This year after my bday I built my first kit, the RG Freedom. Been a big fan of Gundam, Mecha’s and similar franchises since I was young but had never really gotten into Gunpla.

My dad is a Plastic model pro and has built many many Tanks, warships, Airplanes, starwars ships, and everything an 80’s kid could be into.

When I was about 13 - 14 he gave me a Thousand Sunny from One Piece and a Eva 01 as a present.

Building Plamo with him was a very treasured memory from my childhood and after leaving my country and living elsewhere for almost a decade I came back and he got me a General Franky to go with the Sunny.

This made me want to try to build a Gundam, so my dad gave me the RG freedom from his pile of shame and my Journey started.

Building Gunpla did not only help me renew a bond with my father that gave me advice and kept me company while building but also led me to this amazing community.

As a fan of One Piece and other franchises, I sincerely appreciate how supportive and welcoming the Gunpla community as a whole is.

After suffering through the Unicorn and chilling with the Rx-78-2 can’t wait to get my hands on the RG Justice and Nu Gundam.

Been building for a month, just wanna say thanks!
