When did your baby outgrow a crib?

Just found out my wife is pregnant with our 2nd. Out first will be 18 months when our second is born.

I am starting to think about the furniture we will need with our 2nd. Will we need a second convertible crib? Or will our first be in a toddler bed at 18 months?
