My (39m) wife (37f) turns every conversation into an argument even if it doesn't need to go that way

I'm honestly just at my wit's end at this point. for some reason no matter how small a situation may be or a discussion might need to be had, it has to turn to this giant thing with her. she can't just have a discussion and let it be done in 20 minutes it has to be hours and fucking hours long and literally then drags on for days on end. Last night during Valentine's Day there was some miscommunication about picking up dinner. She makes the decision in her head how I feel about the situation and then just the whole fucking night can't just get over it can't just move on past it. I told her I wasn't upset I wasn't acting upset I told her everything was fine and to please move on I literally beg this woman to please stop and she would not stop. she just gets in her own head about how somebody feels about something and then just completely fucking collapses and the entire next couple days are absolutely ruined. last night was absolutely ridiculous. it was fucking Valentine's Day and I was not going to let her fucking do that and I did everything I could to avoid it and she still wouldn't stop and she was still fucking causing an argument and I ended up sleeping in my office

TL:DR wife turns every molehill into the biggest mountain ever. even when I'm actively trying not to fight and arguing I'm begging her to stop she still does
