Is banning wizard rod reasonable for a local tournament
I'm trying to put together a small local thing and I was thinking about the banlist. Metal needle is right off of course, I didn't go through the hassle of getting a stadium just for some goober to put a hole in it with a bad launch, but I was wondering what the opinion was on putting a ban on some of the more overwhelmingly meta picks that are available. Mainly everyone's favorite(?) wheel-shaped git.
On one hand, I don't want to be that guy that becomes the "No Fun" police; I understand that banning an entire blade might be a little extreme. On the other hand, Wizard Rod doesn't ****ing die. Rod fights simply aren't terribly interesting, as it's almost always either you have to knock the bugger into a pocket immediately or it out-spins you by several minutes.
I don't want my tournament to devolve into a question of "Who brought something to kill the Rod 1-60 Hexa", I want to see some more wild combos that would otherwise get stuffed by the funny wheel.
What makes me a little wary to ban the thing is that it IS one of the beyblades that's massively more available in my local wal-mart (they barely cycle any merchandise out ever around here), and I don't want to be the guy that bans one of the few beys that everyone's likely to have.
