My heart is broken.

My heart is broken. It's been a month and a half since I discovered that religion is absurd and a lie.

What hurts the most? Knowing that the person I thought loved me would hate me simply for existing, for being a woman, for not being submissive to men. The Bible itself mentions it.

Exodus 21:7

And if a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as male slaves do.

Exodus 20:17

You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.

...I was researching Catholicism, and I learned that the saints weren't biblical, and that the Catholic Church was more lies and greed than divinity. Now that I consider myself an atheist, all I can do is be depressed for a while longer.
