Help fix my giant useless bathroom
My house has some interesting layout choices and one that has stuck is the bathroom. I think it may have been a bedroom at some point due to the large windows (versus small bathroom-sized windows in one of the bedrooms). My current plan is to switch those two rooms, but moving plumbing is expensive and it means one bedroom would have to walk through the whole house to reach the bedroom, so I'm looking for other ideas.
This is my current bathroom (roughly).
- The door on the left (to living room) would be a pain in the butt to relocate but in theory could go around the corner to the other short wall, the door on the right (to bedroom) theoretically can be moved along the length of that wall. I have a carpenter in the family, but I'd rather avoid moving doors.
- The entire house is in desperate need of storage
- There is no room for storage under the windows, I do not want to mess with external structure so those stay.
I am open to any ideas to make this work so I don't have to move an entire bathroom. The floor is not very level and there was definitely some past leaks so with that coming up I'm not opposed to moving pipes within the room.
Show me your ideas! Have fun with it. I just need help brainstorming because everything I've thought of is completely impractical.
