Is the current state of historiography of Woodrow Wilson’s presidency as negative in tone as the public’s view on it?

Basically wondering if there’s a sort of reverse-Grant going on. The public is fairly positive on Grant’s presidency while the historiography seems at best lukewarm. For Wilson the public is definitely negative on his presidency, but I’m not well read enough on his presidency/era to understand the historiography.
