GERD tied to Gallbladder?

Hi All, I’ve had GERD for 10+ years and have been on PPI’s for just as long. Yesterday I experienced my first gallbladder attack that was quite scary and painful. Do any of you have gallbladder issues, have had it removed, have gallbladder attacks? During the last few weeks I’ve also had an increase of acid reflux and had had to add Pepcid twice a day. I’m thinking my gallbladder is the root cause of all of my GERD issues. I’m a 46 year old female, recently lost 42lbs (not quickly though), and found out both my great grandparents had theirs removed. It would be a relief if I could get this resolved with removal of my gallbladder. I look forward to your insights!!!
